RESERVATIONS
Advance reservations are suggested. A reservation guarantees a site, but not a specific site. Reservations will be held for seven (7) days from the date made, pending receipt of deposit. If no deposit is received within seven (7) days of making your reservations, your reservation will automatically be cancelled without notice. If your reservation is made within seven (7) days of your arrival date, the deposit must be in full paid by cash or credit card.
ADVANCE RESERVATIONS
During peak season of the current year the reservation must be for a period of three (3) nights or more. No minimum stay is required for Spring and Fall campsite reservations, Campin' Cabins and Deluxe Cabins require a two (2) night minimum Spring and Fall. You may reserve up to two (2) years in advance for stays of one (1) week (7 days) or more.
RESERVATION DEPOSITS
A reservation deposit of $75 per WEEK per Campsite ($25 for Spring and Fall) and $250 per Cabin Rental (One Night's Stay in Spring and Fall) is required within seven (7) days of making reservations. The balance is due upon arrival. CABIN RENTALS ONLY: A $50.00 key security deposit is required upon check-in. After the key is returned, the security deposit will be refunded.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancelling or shortening a PEAK SEASON reservation must be done at least 30 days prior to the arrival date for campsites and 60 days prior for cabins or deposits will be forfeited (seven [7] days prior for the Spring and Fall).
GUESTS
Guests are welcome. Guests are not permitted entry after midnight. See the rates page for guest fees.
VEHICLES
One vehicle is included in the rate. Additional vehicles are $2 per vehicle per night. Sorry, 3- and 4-wheel ATV's, Gators, etc., and motorized scooters ARE NOT permitted in the campground.
BICYCLES
Maryland State Law requires that children under 16 years of age wear a helmet, while riding a bicycle. Bicycle riding is not allowed in the campground after sunset.
HOLIDAYS
Holidays require a three (3) night minimum (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day).
NO SMOKING ALLOWED IN THE CABINS and BATHHOUSES.
CLOSING DAY
Closing day for Fort Whaley will be Sunday, November 28th. We ask that all campers be out of the campground by 1:00 PM.
