Fort Whaley Campground has grown over the years to include more
than 200 campsites. As an employer, Fort Whaley offers competitive

Activities Crew
Our Activities Crew organizes and implements fun progams for our camping guests including crab feasts, pool parties, hayrides, water aerobics and dances.
Front Desk Agents
Our Front Desk is responsible for reserving campsites and boat slips, checking in our guests, answering and directing telephone calls, distributing visitor information, handling transactions as well as reporting and solving any problems that may arise with our campers. The biggest responsibility of our Front Desk is to ensure overall customer satisfaction. Interpersonal skills, money handling and proficient experience with computers is required.
Housekeeping
Assisting the maintenance is the Housekeeping Department which keeps our vacation rentals, bath houses, the Water Park restrooms and the laundromat SPARKLING CLEAN. This position is seasonal.
Lifeguards
Lifeguards are responsible for the safety of our guests while in the campground pool and Water Park. Our Water Park is open Memorial Day through Labor Day and weekends through Sunfest. The campground pool may remain open later as long as the weather permits. Strong swimming skills, interpersonal skills and CPR Certification are required. This position is seasonal.
Management
Our Management coordinates the entire operation of Frontier Town Campground.
Maintenance
The Maintenance Department's responsibilities are very diverse and include cutting grass, removing trash and debris, beautifying our campground, relocating picnic tables and fire rings, cleaning sites, correcting plumbing and electrical problems, as well as maintaining all equipment and facilities.
Night Auditor
The Night Auditor's responsibility is to check-in campers who arrive after midnight, answer phone calls, reserve campsites and boat slips, distribute visitor information, report any problems or emergency messages to security and prepare the Front Desk for the next day's shift.
Park Patrol
The Park Patrol walks or rides in our golf carts or company vehicles checking locations throughout our complexes. They are responsible for the security and safety of our guests and cowhands. They deliver emergency messages, solve problems that arise within the campground, as well as relocating picnic tables and fire rings.
Workamper Program

Fort Whaley Campground is one of more than 5,000 employers nationwide who hire seasonal employees known as Workampers. Workampers are adventuresome couples and singles who enjoy a wonderful lifestyle that combines working and camping. We provide you with a campsite - water, electric (30 amp) and sewer - plus an hourly wage. Workamper hours normally range from 20 to 40 hours per week depending upon the specific job.
